Siavash, also known as DJ Siavash since 1997, founded You Plus One in Vancouver in 2011 and still leads the label and its events today. As label director he chooses every release, shaping a catalogue of melodic, groovy house and techno with artists like Pig&Dan, Wally Lopez, Ron Flatter and Rem Siman. He is also the host behind HAUSPARTY, the event series that has brought hundreds of international headliners to Vancouver.

His path to the decks started far from here: born in Iran during the Islamic revolution and raised by deaf parents, he built a life in music against the odds.

His own releases on You Plus One include the Villain, Lost Kid, One More Time, Translation, Danger, MAKE ROOM and All The Right Words EPs, plus earlier records Black Horse and Fade to White.

A DJ since the vinyl days of the 1990s, Siavash has also released on Bedrock, Get Physical, Mobilee, Global Underground and Poker Flat, and works closely with Pig&Dan in the studio.
