Mix German finesse and technicality with South African groove and soul – both key ingredients to the recipe that is LADS. Meeting online, no not Tinder, this half German, half South African DJ/production duo based out of Dusseldorf, Germany combine their strengths to bring you a trademark sound filled with emotion, texture and unpredictability underpinned with an unmistakable LADS groove.

It is this formula that have resulted in the duo releasing on labels such as Lost & Found, Akbal, Magician on Duty, Buddha Bar, Manual Music and Rituel Recordings and saw the duo release their debut vinyl EP on Nie Wieder Schlafen in 2020.

Their remix of Bachir Salloum’s “Sunflower Fields” on Akbal hit #1 on the Top 100 Organic House/Downtempo Charts on Beatport and their remix of Eli Nissan’s “Arpu” on Lost & Found hit #2 on the Top 100 Progressive House Charts on Beatport. Furthermore their track “Demand” was playlisted on major Spotify playlist Electronic Rising.

Not bound by genres and forever striving to push their technical and musical boundaries, LADS have garnered support from some of the biggest names in the industry including Be Svendsen, Acid Pauli, Behrouz, Solomun, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and more.

Outside of the studio, LADS aim to create memorable and versatile DJ sets that are deep, organic, textured and thought-provoking. LADS have recorded guest mixes for platforms such as Bespoke Musik, Schrimchendrink, When We Dip, Sofa Beats, Bloop London and more. These guest mixes have led them to a monthly residency on Frisky Radio with their Shaka Series show and a monthly slot on Proton Radio with their Kaotisch show. Furthermore, the duo’s sets have led to bookings at festivals in Germany and South Africa where they have played alongside artists such as Stimming, Cioz, lorie, Rauschhaus and more.

LADS describe their music as deep, organic, textured and thought-provoking. They aim to create music that encourages deeper, intentional listening and upon the 10th listen still aids in the discovery of something new in their tracks.
